ClansThe Uzumaki clan is the crimson spiral on the shoulder of every Konoha shinobi and the blood that flows through the veins of Naruto himself. Once a mighty clan of sealing masters, it was nearly wiped off the face of the earth out of fear of its power, but it did not disappear: it dissolved into other villages and was reborn in the boy who became the Seventh Hokage.
Briefly. The Uzumaki are a clan related to the Senju from the Village of Whirlpools, renowned for their sealing arts (fūinjutsu), vast reserves of chakra, and incredible vitality. That is why Uzumaki women became the jinchūriki of the Nine-Tails.
Uzushiogakure: Village of Whirlpools
The clan's homeland was Uzushiogakure, the Village Hidden in Whirlpools, which stood on the islands of the Land of Whirlpools. The Uzumaki were so skilled in seals that entire nations feared them: during the shinobi wars, several great villages united and destroyed Uzushiogakure, not daring to leave such an enemy alive.
The surviving Uzumaki scattered across the world, but the memory of kinship remained. Konoha, bound to the clan by blood and friendly ties, still bears the crimson Uzumaki spiral on the shoulders and backs of chunin vests — as a sign of eternal gratitude to fallen allies.
The Uzumaki clan's main specialization is fūinjutsu, the art of seals. Where other clans relied on eyes or elements, the Uzumaki sealed: chakra, techniques, entire entities.
Adamantine Sealing Chains — Mito and Kushina could materialize shining chains from their chakra, capable of binding even a tailed beast.
Imprisonment seals — it was by the Uzumaki's methods that the Nine-Tails was held inside its jinchūriki.
Dead Demon Consuming Seal (Shiki Fūjin) — a forbidden technique used to seal Kurama; it was also used by Minato, who inherited the clan's legacy through his wife Kushina.
Their mastery was so dangerous that it became a curse: fear of the Uzumaki seals destroyed their village.
Vast chakra and longevity.
The Uzumaki clan was famous for its huge chakra reserves and long lifespan.
Possessing incredible vitality and colossal reserves of chakra. This gave them two gifts at once: they lived noticeably longer than ordinary people and served as ideal "vessels" for tailed beasts — their body could withstand what would kill anyone else.

The Nine-Tails
It is no coincidence that all three bearers of Kurama, the Nine-Tailed Fox, are bound by Uzumaki blood. Their life force quelled the beast's hatred better than any other.
