The Outer Path technique that uses the power of the Rinnegan. The user materializes chakra chains that bind anyone they touch. Obito claimed that the power of these chains far surpasses that of Nagato's Outer Path. The chains bear a cursed seal that suppresses the power of the tailed beasts, and their touch causes excruciating pain.
Obito connected such chains through black receivers implanted in the bodies of his Six Paths of Pain, transformed into temporary jinchūriki. Releasing the chains from the receivers and connecting them to his palm, he could bind and suppress the tailed beasts if they resisted control. When Naruto found himself in the mouth of the Four-Tails, Obito tried to drag the beast into his body with these chains. The chains also worked inside the beasts' consciousness; when the receivers were removed, their place was taken by one large chain leading directly to the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path, which allowed the beasts to be quickly sealed back into the statue.
The Demonic Statue itself can emit chakra chains from its mouth. Madara, having regained the Rinnegan and taken control of the statue, forced it to release chains with tips shaped like dragon heads. These chains instantly bound and sealed all nine tailed beasts, wrapping around their necks like collars and dragging them into the statue. They are capable of extracting the tailed beasts from the bodies of jinchūriki and preventing them from canceling the Tailed Beast Mode. Severed chains are easily restored.
