During this period, Obito completely abandoned the joking mask of Tobi and acts as a cold, calculating leader calling himself Madara Uchiha. He is fully focused on realizing the "Eye of the Moon Plan" and tolerates no objections. His voice and manner of speech have become even, authoritative, without the former childishness. He is convinced that the real world is nothing but suffering and lies, and only the Infinite Tsukuyomi can grant true peace. He justifies any sacrifices, including the death of allies, by the fact that in the new world they will all be resurrected.
He stopped hiding his identity before trusted people (Kisame, Pain, Konan), but continues to wear the mask to maintain the image of Madara. His attitude toward others has become cynical: he uses Akatsuki as a tool, and after the death of its members merely shrugs, considering the losses justified. At the same time, he retains a strange fixation on Naruto, seeing in him a reflection of his former self — an idealist dreaming of becoming Hokage. Obito tries to prove to Naruto that the world is hopeless and break his will.
In this state, he almost shows no emotions, except for rare outbursts of anger when his plans go off script. He skillfully manipulates people, using their weaknesses and dark sides. However, a remnant of his former nature still smolders within him: he still cares about the preservation of his Sharingan and body, but no longer feels remorse for killings.
