During his lifetime, Jinin was described as a heroic figure. He was extremely confident in his sword Kabutowari, which he considered a weapon with the strongest attack, and had no doubt that blocking its strikes was useless. Like many swordsmen of the Mist, he openly enjoyed destroying his enemies and felt no pity for them.

Jinin does not demonstrate elemental techniques and does not use hand seals. His ninjutsu combat arsenal is minimal: he does not display any attack or defense techniques based on chakra transformation. This is because Jinin has only demonstrated weapon attacks.
