Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms - a secret taijutsu technique of the main branch of the Hyuga clan. With the Byakugan, the user sees an almost complete sphere around himself and imagines himself at the center of the Eight Trigrams symbol. He then delivers a series of strikes to a target located within this symbol, hitting sixty-four chakra exit points. These points are blocked, causing the flow of chakra in the opponent's body to stop, and making it difficult for him to move, in addition to being simply unable to use any techniques. The sixty-four strikes can also be distributed among several targets, for example to deflect incoming projectiles.
The strikes are divided into six approaches: first two strikes, then two more (four in total), then four (eight in total), eight (sixteen in total), sixteen (thirty-two in total) and, finally, thirty-two (sixty-four in total). Each approach takes the same amount of time, so the speed of the strikes increases each time. The last approach of thirty-two strikes is especially difficult and requires great determination and a strong forward lunge from the user. As the strikes land, the target is knocked backward, and the combined force of the final strikes is capable of pushing it through tree trunks.
