Description

Eight Trigrams Heavenly Rotation - a secret taijutsu technique of the main branch of the Hyuga clan. At the moment when an attack almost reaches its target, the user releases chakra from all chakra exit points on the body, blocking the strike, and begins to spin rapidly. The resulting vortex of chakra around him repels the attack and everything nearby, creating a reliable defensive barrier for the duration of the spin. The reflection power grows along with the power of the attack, so the more powerful the strike, the stronger the response. The technique allows protecting not only oneself, but also several people nearby. (Shown only in the anime, keep in mind, this violates the logic of the technique.)

Heavenly Rotation was created to cover the blind spot of the Byakugan. That is why it is called an absolute defense, surpassing even the Sand Shield. Usually the radius of action is small, but a master can increase it and strengthen the rotation: thus, Hiashi Hyuga threw opponents back several feet, and the force of rotation plowed the ground around, leaving untouched only the point where he stood. The only way to stop the technique is to not let the user begin to spin.
