In the full Bijju form, Utakata's personality is almost completely suppressed by Saiken's beastly consciousness, or his personality is suppressed by Kabuto using the Edo Tensei technique, or by Obito, who controlled his body through the creation of new bodies of the Path of Pain using chakra receivers. However, his true essence — a calm, thoughtful, and elegant young man, avoiding the title of 'master' and hiding deep emotional pain — has not completely disappeared. When Naruto penetrates the combined consciousness of the tailed beasts, Utakata appears before him composed, terse, yet surprisingly open. He tells Naruto that he and the other jinchuriki promised Son Goku to stay here to convey something important, and then he introduces himself alongside his Bijju, Saiken. His signature bubble technique — a symbol of ephemerality and fleetingness — now acquires a bitter meaning: he himself is like a bubble that burst, but was returned to the battlefield. Saiken, in turn, — is an energetic creature, with a boastful dialect, but not malicious; in the moment of mental encounter, he behaves more good-natured than aggressive.
