After Gaara became Kazekage, Baki unconditionally acknowledged his authority, addressing him with pronounced respect. He is able to quickly assess situations and make tough decisions, whether it be giving an evacuation order or turning to former elders for help. His composure allows him to act effectively even in the most critical situations. He is not a stranger to politics and is fully aware of the balance of power in the council. He is wary of allies but keeps his word to build trust. Despite all his combat pragmatism, he is capable of showing respect toward a fallen enemy, admiring their skill. He prefers direct action and does not like to put things off. In emergencies, he takes command and is not afraid of responsibility. Despite his outward sternness, he genuinely cares about the future of the Sand and has raised more than one generation of shinobi. His loyalty to the village is absolute, and he is willing to do anything for it.
