The Legendary Sannin are the three strongest students of the Third Hokage, whose names are known throughout the shinobi world. From one team came the future Hokage, a wandering hero, and the main villain of the era. The story of the Sannin best shows how the same schooling can lead people to completely different destinies. Legendary Sannin: Three Students of the Third Hokage
Three Ninja, the trio was given by the enemy leader Hanzo: he was the only one who survived a battle with them and acknowledged their strength. Thus Tsunade, Jiraiya and Orochimaru went down in history.
All three were raised by Hiruzen Sarutobi, the Third Hokage, called the Professor for knowing all the techniques of the village. He instilled in them the Will of Fire of Konoha, but each one used this legacy in their own way.
Briefly about the trio. The three strongest students of the Professor, acknowledged by the enemy for their power. Their weapons are unmatched skill and great summons, and their fates diverged into three paths: power, service, and fall.
Three paths from one team.
The main idea of the Sannin is that three complete opposites grew out of one team.
**Tsunade**, the path of healing. The granddaughter of the First Hokage became the best medic in the world and eventually the Fifth Hokage, turning her power toward the protection of life.
**Jiraiya**, the path of service. The Toad Sage refused a position for the sake of wandering, reconnaissance, and training students, remaining a hero in the shadows.
**Orochimaru**, the path of fall. Obsessed with immortality and knowledge, he betrayed the village, began forbidden experiments on people, and became the main villain of the era.
Summons: slugs, toads, and snakes.
Each Sannin is bound by a contract with one of the three great clans of creatures, and this is part of their legend.
Slugs. Tsunade summons the giant slug Katsuyu, who heals and shares chakra.
Toads. Jiraiya made a pact with the toads of Mount Myoboku and mastered the sage mode.
Snakes. Orochimaru commands snakes, befitting his cold and cunning nature.

Legacy of the Sannin
The circle of the Sannin closed in the next generation. Each of the three seemed to pass their path to one of the members of Team 7: Tsunade taught Sakura, Jiraiya became the mentor of Naruto, and Orochimaru lured Sasuke to his side.
So the three paths repeated in the new generation, but with a different ending. The Sannin remain the main reminder: people may have the same talent and teacher, but the choice of who to become, everyone makes for themselves.
