The Transparent Escape Technique is a supplementary ninjutsu that allows the user to shadow others while remaining unnoticed. The technique was invented by Jiraiya in his youth to peep at bathing girls without risking being caught. It makes the user invisible, which allows either landing stealthy strikes on the enemy or hiding from their sight. Hayate Gekkō mastered this technique perfectly, using it like the Technique of Hiding under Camouflage: his figure became transparent, masking his appearance. The Third Hokage was interested in this technique, which made Jiraiya assume that his teacher was as much of a pervert as he was himself. In turn, Hayate's skill in this technique was the reason the Third Hokage sent him on a mission to shadow Kabuto Yakushi.
