Description

Summoning: Toad Mouth Binding - a ninjutsu in which, instead of a whole toad, only the esophagus of a giant toad from Mount Myoboku is summoned, known as the Stone Dwelling. The esophagus envelops the target, often unnoticed if it happens inside a cave or building. Its walls are sticky and pliable, causing the opponent to lose their footing and be unable to fight properly. Escaping from the esophagus is practically impossible; over time it contracts and digests the victim.

Jiraiya is able to control the esophagus: expand it, contract it, and direct its growth in the desired direction. He claimed that no one had ever escaped from this trap, yet Itachi Uchiha and Kisame Hoshigaki got out when Itachi burned through the wall with Amaterasu. This surprised Jiraiya, since the esophagus is fireproof due to the toad's ability to breathe fire. It is also shown (in the anime) that one can summon the stomach of a giant toad, filled with acid and a poisonous colorless odorless gas; with prolonged exposure inside, it paralyzes the body.
