Chakra Absorption

Chakra Absorption is the ability to take chakra from another person, usually an opponent, and use it as one's own. After losing chakra, the victim becomes limited in battle, and with severe exhaustion may lose the ability to move. The one who absorbed the chakra, on the contrary, gains a boost in strength, increases their reserves, and improves their physical condition.

Most shinobi need a medium for absorption: a special technique, a weapon like Samehada, insects of the Aburame clan, or other tools. Some, such as Yoroi Akado, Jirobo, Kisame Hoshigaki, or Zetsu, are able to absorb chakra directly through physical contact.
