The Land of Earth is located to the northwest of the Land of Fire and is one of the Five Great Nations. Its territory predominantly consists of barren rocky wastelands with a harsh landscape. The country's border runs along a mountain range that naturally isolates it from neighboring nations, hindering communication and invasions. From the north, winds blow across these mountains, lifting small stones and carrying them into neighboring regions—a natural phenomenon known as the 'Stone Rain'. Among local delicacies are 'Stone Rice Cakes', which are distinguished by their crunchy texture.
The main hidden village of the country is Iwagakure (Village Hidden in the Rocks), located in the mountains. Like other villages of the great powers, it is governed by its own Kage—the Tsuchikage. The mountain ranges surrounding the village serve as a natural fortress, of which the residents of Iwagakure are proud. Throughout history, four Tsuchikage have served in the country. Iwagakure is renowned for its Earth Release techniques and unique abilities, such as weight manipulation and flying combat units.
