The Hidden Rain Village is one of the hidden villages not belonging to the Five Great Nations, located in the Land of Rain. This location gained special fame due to its harsh climate: the sky over the village is almost constantly covered by heavy clouds, and pouring rain falls without ceasing, creating an atmosphere of perpetual dampness and melancholy.

The architecture of Amegakure differs from that of other hidden villages: instead of traditional buildings, massive industrial towers rise here, connected by a network of metal pipes and platforms. These structures serve not only as residences for shinobi but also as an engineering system for collecting and distributing water, allowing residents to adapt to constant precipitation.

The history of the Hidden Rain Village is closely intertwined with tragedies and conflicts. During the Second Great Ninja War, shinobi of this locality became the arena of bloody battles between the three great villages—Konohagakure, Iwagakure, and Sunagakure. The same occurred during the Third Great Ninja War. Later, the village came under the influence of Hanzō the Salamander, a legendary warrior whose cruelty inspired fear even in the most powerful shinobi.

However, Amegakure underwent true transformation after the rise of Akatsuki—the organization led by Pain and Konan. Under their leadership, the village turned into an isolated fortress, closed off from the outside world. Internal affairs of the Land of Rain became a matter of legend, and the village itself acquired a reputation as a mysterious and dangerous place from which outsiders rarely return.

Hidden Rain is also famous as the birthplace of unique techniques. Here, the fates of many key characters of the universe were forged, including Jiraiya, who died in these lands, and Nagato, whose philosophy of peace through pain originated precisely amidst these industrial towers and endless rain.
