Kuro Zetsu deserved the nickname "Evil tongue" not by accident — every word of his is infused with causticity and contempt for all all whom he considers lower than himself. Unlike his his chatty white partner, he always remained serious, calculating, and frighteningly well-informed. He could pretend to be a loyal servant for decades without betraying his true intentions, and Madara Uchiha, who considered him his own will, did not even suspect the deception. Kuro Zetsu believed that the entire history of shinobi was merely a tool for the return of his creator, and viewed humans as pawns in his endless game. Anyone who dared to oppose his plans, he would without hesitation call useless, not sparing even those with whom he shared a body for decades. The only being for whom he felt genuine attachment was Kagua Ootsutsuki, and for her sake he was ready to wait a thousand years and destroy the entire world. He called himself the son of the goddess and demanded corresponding respect, flying into a rage at the mere thought that some mortal would dare to touch him. For all this, Kuro Zetsu was pragmatic to the bone: if the task required playing the role of a spy, devouring corpses, or reporting to Pain, he performed it impeccably. His composure in battle and ability to instantly analyze the situation made him an indispensible tactician even beside Kagua. Internal duality never hindered him from acting: he could simultaneously control Obito's body, absorb chakra, and mock the dying. Naruto Uzumaki he once called a snivly boy, incapable of realizing the scale of his plan, but it was this self-confidence that ultimately blinded the ancient manipulator.
