In the first level of the Cursed Seal, Sakon and Ukon's skin did not change color, but became covered with a pattern of curved dark lines and spots spreading across their entire bodies. These lines appeared on their faces, arms, torso, and legs, creating a grim design. The seal's pattern gave them an even more sinister appearance, but otherwise they looked as usual.

Activation of the first-level seal enhances their innate kekkei genkai, although this is not noticeable by external indicators. But when a cursed seal of any level is activated, all techniques are strengthened, and their parasitic one — accordingly as well.
