Suigetsu possesses a complex and contradictory character, combining childlike directness with cold cynicism. He is incredibly self-confident, often overestimates his own abilities, and enjoys commanding those around him, which regularly leads to conflicts within the team. At the same time, in critical situations he is capable of demonstrating pragmatism and caution, preferring retreat to an ill-considered battle against an obviously superior opponent.
His attitude toward violence has a peculiar, almost playful nature—he sincerely enjoys combat and the process of "butchering" his opponent, which testifies to an innate cruelty common to many representatives of Kirigakure during the "Village of the Bloody Mist" period. However, this cruelty rarely goes beyond professional necessity; he does not experience a pathological urge to kill for entertainment, rather perceiving battle as an exciting game where he can demonstrate his skill.
His main passion—collecting swords—Suigetsu treats with almost fanatical obsession. This goal serves as a meaning-forming factor for him, capable of motivating him to difficult actions and long-term cooperation with those who were previously alien to him. Speaking of the team: despite constant teasing and attempts to provoke his comrades, especially Karin, over time he develops genuine loyalty to the Taka group, although he prefers to hide it behind a mask of contempt and sarcasm.
In communication he is talkative, witty, and enjoys provoking interlocutors, making him both an indispensable source of comic relief in tense situations and a potential irritant for more restrained team members. Yet behind this outward lightness lies a quite serious understanding of the realities of the ninja world, ambition, and readiness to pursue his goal despite temporary setbacks and the need to submit to another's will.
