Revived by the Impure World, Torune became a willless puppet, acting exclusively on Kabuto's command. His consciousness was suppressed by a talisman, and he carried out orders without hesitation. However, remnants of his personality remained: he recognized Shino and even through the imposed will was able to express joy that his sworn brother had become a worthy shinobi. In battle, he acted with the same cold ruthlessness as in life, but now was devoid of fear of death and pain.

Torune is the host of the rarest nano-insects, the rinkaichu, which dwell inside his body. Unlike ordinary kikaichu, these microscopic beetles are a deadly poison upon contact with skin. As soon as Torune removes his gloves and touches an opponent, the insects instantly penetrate their body, causing unbearable pain and rapid tissue necrosis. He can recall them with a single touch of his finger and administer an antidote, demonstrating complete control. For large-scale attacks, he uses the Poison Jar Technique — a forbidden clan technique that infects a vast area with rinkaichu, dooming all without protection to death. Additionally, he creates a poisonous cloud, inhalation of which is lethal. His arsenal also includes ordinary kikaichu insects used to create clones, allowing him to deceive the enemy.
