Description

The Deva Path is one of the seven abilities of the Six Paths Technique granted by the Rinnegan. It grants the user power over the forces of attraction and repulsion, allowing them to affect objects and living beings. The techniques of this Path cannot be used continuously: a cooldown is required between uses, with a minimum duration of five seconds, and after large-scale techniques the pause increases significantly. Excessive use at the limit of one's capabilities not only prolongs recovery but can also shorten the user's lifespan. In addition to the basic gravitational forces, the Deva Path grants access to the Shinra Tensei — a technique that creates a massive celestial body from all surrounding matter attracted to a released black sphere.

Nagato, bound to his device, channeled the power of the Deva Path through the body of his deceased friend Yahiko, making him the face of the persona Pain. Nagato himself used the abilities of this Path even before he lost his mobility. Likewise, through Pain, he demonstrated the ability to levitate.
