Great Roar is a ninjutsu through which a tailed beast turns its own roar into a powerful shockwave of pressure and destruction. The beast's vast reserves of chakra allow it to create waves capable of deflecting projectiles, breaking structures, and dispersing some ninjutsu. Naruto Uzumaki, controlling Kurama's chakra, could also generate such waves with a roar. In Version 2, the wave's power is so great that it can push Pain's Shinra Tensei back onto him. When performed by Kurama himself, the wave completely disperses such powerful techniques as Sage Art: Ultra-Big Ball Rasenshuriken... no, Sage Art: Ultra-Big Ball Rasengan, and throws back fully transformed tailed beasts. The Ten-Tails in its initial form destroys mountains with a single roar and devastates the landscape for kilometers.
