Description

Transformation Technique (変化の術, Hengе no Jutsu) is a basic E-rank ninjutsu studied by all academy students from hidden villages. This technique allows the user to create an illusory disguise, taking on the appearance of another person, animal, or even inanimate objects.

The principle of the technique lies in using chakra to project the image of the desired form around the user's body. When the hand signs are performed correctly (Dog → Boar → Ram), the ninja surrounds himself with a chakra shell that visually and physically mimics the target object. However, it should be noted that the transformation is purely illusory in nature—it does not alter the user's physical body, but merely creates an outer shell.

The main limitation of the Transformation Technique is its vulnerability to any physical impact. Upon receiving damage or sudden contact, the illusion instantly dissipates, returning the ninja to his true form. This makes the technique unsuitable for direct combat, but exceptionally effective for reconnaissance, espionage, distraction, and camouflage.

Unlike more advanced transformation techniques (such as those used by Akamaru or the techniques of tailed beast owners), basic Hengе does not provide real physical abilities of the chosen form. A ninja who has transformed into a bird cannot fly, and one who has taken on the appearance of a strong opponent does not gain his physical strength.

Despite its apparent simplicity, masterful command of the Transformation Technique requires significant practice. Experienced users are able to maintain the illusion for extended periods, imitate the voice and mannerisms of the chosen creature, and instantly change appearance to disorient the opponent. The technique remains one of the most versatile tools in a ninja's arsenal throughout their career.
