Body Consciousness Transfer Technique is an exclusive ninjutsu of the Yamanaka clan. The user transforms their consciousness into spiritual energy and sends it into the target. The consciousness flies slowly and only in a straight line, so it is very easy to miss: if the technique misses, it will take several minutes for the spirit to return to its own body. For this reason, it is used only against stationary or restrained opponents. When the consciousness does reach the target, the user displaces the victim's mind and takes complete control of their body.
Initially, this technique was created for reconnaissance. Someone else's body made it possible to infiltrate places the user themselves could not enter, read classified documents, and use the target's physical capabilities, such as a bird's flight. In someone else's body one can communicate with the victim and even use one's own techniques, primarily sensory ones.
Usually the capture lasts as long as the user wants. But if the victim has a strong will, they can push out the foreign consciousness, especially when the user is exhausted. At the moment of capture, one's own body remains motionless and defenseless, which is dangerous when fighting multiple enemies. Any damage taken by the captured body is immediately reflected on the user's real body. For this reason, the Yamanaka almost always act together with the Akimichi and Nara.
