Description

The Flying Thunder God Technique is a space-time ninjutsu created by Tobirama Senju. Its essence is that the user marks a target in advance with a special formula, after which they can instantly move to that mark from any place, regardless of distance. The formula is applied with a simple touch and remains on the object forever, even after the death of the mark's owner. The user is able to mark any number of targets and teleport to any of them whenever they wish.

In battle, the technique turns the user into a practically elusive fighter. If you mark an opponent, you can attack them before they have time to react, or instantly appear nearby when they try to flee. For defense, the formula is often applied to thrown weapons, for example special kunai, which are scattered across the battlefield, creating a network of points for teleportation, which allows one to easily evade any attacks. When teleporting, the user can carry with them everything they hold or are connected to by chakra, and is also able to move individual objects without moving themselves.

Tobirama Senju and Minato Namikaze became famous as the fastest shinobi of their time precisely thanks to this technique. During the Third Shinobi World War, Minato earned the nickname "Yellow Flash of Konoha" for his ability to appear in the most unexpected places and destroy entire squads before they had time to understand what had happened. Reflexes combined with instant movement allowed Tobirama to intercept even Truth-Seeking Orbs at the moment of detonation, and Minato to avoid being drawn into Kamui.

Both masters had their own variations: Tobirama developed the Flying Thunder God Slash for an instant strike after teleportation, and Minato developed Flying Thunder God: Guiding Thunder, which creates a barrier that teleports various attacks (like the Tailed Beast Ball) to another place. During the Fourth Shinobi World War, they also used the joint technique Flying Thunder God Instant Exchange Technique, which allowed them to swap places in battle.
