Wood Style: Wood Dragon Technique - a ninjutsu that creates a giant wooden dragon. It is used both to restrain the target and to attack. The dragon's appearance may vary: in one variant it has a short trunk-like nose, in another it is absent. The dragon is capable of absorbing the opponent's chakra, biting into them and draining energy, which gradually deprives the victim of the ability to use techniques. The technique's weakness is that when the dragon's head is destroyed, it loses the ability to absorb chakra. Naruto and Kurama destroyed the head with a combination of the Body Flicker Technique and the Tailed Beast Ball, while Madara repelled the chakra absorption with Susanoo.
In the anime, Hashirama could make the dragon explode. The dragon resembles the mythical creature Makara. In Japanese mythology, dragons are associated with wood, forests, and water.
