Description

Planetary Rasengan (Japanese: 惑星螺旋丸, Wakusei Rasengan) is an enhanced variation of the legendary Rasengan technique, belonging to the A-rank and classified as a nature-less ninjutsu. This modification represents a significant evolutionary development of the basic technique, developed by Minato Namikaze and perfected by Jiraiya and Naruto Uzumaki.

Unlike the classic Rasengan, which consists of a single sphere of concentrated chakra, the Planetary Rasengan forms a complex multi-layered structure: a central large sphere of chakra, around which three smaller chakra spheres rotate. This configuration visually resembles a planetary system, which determined the name of the technique.

The mechanism of action of the Planetary Rasengan is based on the principle of multiple concentration of chakra. The three additional spheres create several points of simultaneous high chakra pressure, significantly enhancing the overall destructive power of the technique. Upon contact with the target, each sphere generates a powerful rotating impulse capable of inflicting destructive damage at the cellular level.

The technique belongs to the category of close combat and does not require the performance of hand seals, which makes it quick to apply. However, the complexity of forming several simultaneously rotating chakra spheres requires the performer to have exceptional control over chakra and a significant reserve of energy.

Planetary Rasengan demonstrates the next level of mastery in using the basic technique, showing how, through modification of the chakra sphere structure, the combat characteristics of the original ninjutsu can be multiplied. The technique retains all the key advantages of the Rasengan—no need for preparation via hand seals, compact form, and high penetrating ability—while significantly surpassing the base version in total destructive power.
