Description

Nine-Tails Chakra Mode is a unique transformation of the Nine-Tails jinchuriki. The body is covered by a yellow chakra cloak that flickers like flames. Two horns form on the head, six magatama marks encircle the neck, and circular patterns and lines spread across the abdomen and limbs. Appearance partially changes: the eyes take on an orange hue, and physical parameters sharply increase — enough strength to knock out a White Zetsu clone with a single kick, and speed sufficient to evade attacks from the Fourth Raikage. The cloak softens damage from lava and boiling water, and at a critical moment can withstand the force of Tenpenchii, breaking apart but preserving the user's life. The user's scent and chakra signature completely change.

Arms of chakra extend from the cloak, which Naruto uses to replace shadow clones when creating Rasengan and its variations. In this state, perception sharpens — the jinchuriki senses the negative emotions of others over vast distances, even through barriers. Nearby wooden structures rapidly overgrow, and White Zetsu turn into trees from a single touch. At first, the Nine-Tails refused to cooperate, so Naruto could not form Tailed Beast Balls (he later mastered a miniature version) and risked losing his own chakra, which the beast tried to absorb — this forced strict monitoring of time spent in the mode.
