Description

Gaara's Partial Transformation is a unique ability that differs from similar techniques of other jinchūriki. While in other tailed beast hosts, body parts transform through chakra, Gaara uses sand. He gradually covers his body with a dense layer of sand, increasingly resembling Shukaku, and his eyes change, adapting to the appearance of the raccoon beast. Where the sand comes into contact with the body, the defense becomes almost impenetrable. The sand limbs can be extended further than usual, and as the covered area grows, so do speed and physical strength. Detached sand body parts retain their shape as long as Gaara maintains them with his chakra.
