Description

Sage Art: Great Divine Gates - a fūinjutsu used by Hashirama Senju in Sage Mode. The user creates several huge red torii gates in the air, which fall from above and press the target down to the ground. The size and shape of the gates are selected to suit a specific opponent. The binding force is absolute: the target cannot move even a finger, and its will to resist is suppressed, making it completely submissive. Hashirama can place gates on top of each other to strengthen the hold.

There are variants: The Ten Seals creates ten torii for simultaneously holding multiple targets. The Head Seal creates a single large gate that presses down on the target's neck, immobilizing the head; natural energy is imbued into it so the target cannot resist. The technique was used to restrain the Ten-Tails and its jinchūriki, but Obito Uchiha, having gained control over the Ten-Tails' power, managed to break through the gates.
