Yugakure is a hidden village in the Land of Hot Springs. It is located among several hot springs, due to which a thick steam constantly rises above it. Numerous resort hotels for tourists have been built around it. The village is known for its strong pacifist orientation: after many years of reluctantly performing combat missions, it officially abandoned typical shinobi tasks and proudly calls itself "the village that forgot war." Local ninjas now work almost exclusively within their country — guarding roads, helping tourists, and performing small tasks for small settlements.
