Hidden Waterfall Village

The Village of the Hidden Waterfall is tucked away in the heart of nameless lands, and one can reach it only by diving into the abyss beneath the roaring stream. Dark tunnels, washed out in the rock, lead the brave directly to a wide lake over which the canopy of a giant tree looms. Around this living giant cling dwellings, forming a single whole with the damp landscape. Somewhere deep in the root system, in a tiny building without extra adornments, generations have guarded the Water of Heroes. Once every hundred years, the source grants a sip of strength that multiplies the chakra reserve a hundredfold, but the price for such power is almost always death. Here rules a man named Shibuki, whose dwelling is indistinguishable from a peasant's hut: inside are only bare walls and a rise that replaces a throne. The architecture of the local structures is alien to the severity of great nations — in it breathes the damp air of a distant south, a mixture of foliage and watery mist. And the village's chief guardian is the waterfall itself, whose relentless roar serves as both protection and warning for unwelcome guests.
