In Sage Mode, Kabuto is completely convinced that he has become a 'perfect being', surpassing Orochimaru. He speaks of himself as a dragon that has shed its snake skin. His self-confidence reaches its peak: he considers himself the closest to the power of the Sage of Six Paths. He uncompromisingly seeks recognition and is ready to destroy anyone who stands in his way. In conversation with Itachi and Sasuke, he tries to manipulate them, finding common traits, reminding them of Konoha's betrayal, of false identity. But when his superiority is called into question, he falls into despair and begins to waver between pride and uncertainty. Kabuto still retains his calculativeness and tactical genius, using the abilities of the Sound Five, Jugo, and others. However, his mind is clouded by an obsession to become someone new, and he cannot accept himself as he truly is. It is precisely this internal blindness that makes him vulnerable to Izanami. Despite everything, he continues to address Orochimaru with respect ('-sama'), showing his inability to completely sever ties with the past.
