In his resurrected state, Tobirama retained all of his firmness and straightforwardness that he had in life. He still cut the naked truth without embellishment and did not tolerate deviations from established rules. His pragmatic mind instantly assessed the situation and sought the most effective, albeit harsh, paths to resolution. He accepted his resurrection without illusions, immediately realizing he had become a pawn in others' hands. Orochimaru he openly condemned for using his very own invention, not holding back in expression. When Sasuke Uchiha declared his intention to destroy Konoha, Tobirama took it as confirmation of his long-standing wariness of the Uchiha clan and was ready to attack immediately. Only direct intervention by Hashirama, whose will he was accustomed to obeying in critical moments, forced him to retreat. At the same time, he remained open to cooperation with those Uchiha who, like Kagami, managed to place the village above clan passions. With Minato Namikaze he found instant mutual understanding, based on a similar fighting style—swift and thought out down to the finest detail. Naruto Uzumaki evoked in him rather irritation due to his impertinence and ignorance in questions of technique authorship. In battle he acted calculatingly and ruthlessly, not shying away from sudden attacks and exploiting the opponent's weaknesses. His will remained so unbending that even Orochimaru's improved control could not completely suppress his personality without the addition of Hashirama's cells.
