Resurrected by the Impure World, Hizashi remained in the grip of bitterness and resentment toward the main branch. He blamed himself for being forced, as a member of the branch family, to fight against his own brother, and called this his karma for disobedience in life. Beneath the outward hostility and words of inevitable fate lay the same deep love for his loved ones. He still worried about Neji and wanted his son to avoid his mistakes. Despite his involuntary state, Hizashi retained the ability to feel and reflect, which allowed his brother to reach him. Hearing that Neji and Hinata were fighting side by side as equals, he began to doubt his old beliefs. He was able to find peace upon seeing the fruits of a new era.
