In his normal state, Jugo is a quiet, calm, and very gentle person who has absolutely no desire to kill anyone. He cares for animals, easily earns their trust, and cannot stand those who harm them. In everyday life, he is timid and prefers solitude, because he is afraid of his own outbursts of rage and the destruction they bring. That is precisely why he voluntarily keeps himself in isolation, considering Sasuke his "cage" — the only one capable of stopping him. The main problem of his life remains sudden and uncontrollable fits of rage: when they come over him, he loses control of himself and destroys everything around him, becoming mortally dangerous to anyone who happens to be nearby. It is precisely the fear of these outbursts that forces him to voluntarily remain in isolation, away from people he might harm. Kimimaro was the first who was not afraid of his strength and accepted him as he is. Jugo genuinely treasured this friendship, and after Kimimaro's death, he transferred his loyalty to Sasuke, believing that the will of his fallen comrade continued to live on in him. This belief determines all his actions: he unquestioningly obeys Sasuke and is ready to serve him as a shield. When Jugo uses partial transformation, he becomes noticeably more decisive and aggressive, but does not lose his mind and acts consciously, directing all his strength toward protecting Sasuke or carrying out an order. He treats his Taka comrades evenly, though Karin considers him mentally unstable, and Suigetsu initially disliked him. In any state, he remains taciturn and straightforward, never taking the initiative toward violence for pleasure. His actions are always governed either by the instinct of protection or by Sasuke's will, and even in transformation, he does not lose his human face.
