Shino is an extremely reserved and taciturn person who makes a mysterious and sometimes eerie impression on those around him. He rarely smiles and almost never raises his voice, preferring to act with cold calculation. His speech is often built around logical explanations, and he likes to end phrases with the rhetorical question "why?", immediately giving the answer to it — this is his trademark manner.
He possesses exceptional self-control and does not succumb to panic even in the most dangerous situations. However, behind his outward calm lies a sensitive nature: Shino remembers grievances for years. This is most clearly manifested in the case with Naruto, who after two and a half years of training did not recognize Shino upon meeting, although he immediately remembered Kiba and Hinata. Shino did not forgive this and for a long time demonstratively turned away, reminding of what happened.
He is very loyal to his teammates, especially Hinata, and ready to risk himself for them. At the same time, Shino does not strive for leadership, but always takes responsibility at a critical moment if he feels that his abilities are most needed. His vindictiveness combines with a deep sense of duty: he still regrets that he could not participate in the mission to retrieve Sasuke, and in subsequent battles (for example, with Tobi) tries to act as efficiently as possible to compensate for past failure.
