Ichibi (One Tail, 一尾), also known as Shukaku (守鶴, "Protecting Crane"), is one of the nine tailed beasts from the universe of "Naruto". This gigantic creature, sealed within the body of a jinchuriki, possesses immense power and unique abilities.

In appearance, Ichibi resembles a gigantic raccoon dog, covered in sandy armored plates, with characteristic dark circles around the eyes and a single tail, from where its name originates. Its body consists of sand and chakra, making it virtually invulnerable to physical attacks.

Ichibi possesses the ability to manipulate sand and magnetic sand, creating powerful barriers and destructive attacks. It can generate Shukaku's wind — wind capable of destroying mountains and causing sandstorms. As a jinchuriki, the carrier of Ichibi gains access to enormous chakra reserves, the ability for automatic sand defense, and transformation into the form of the tailed beast.

The history of Ichibi is closely tied to the village of Hidden Sand, Sunagakure, where it was sealed in various carriers throughout generations. The most famous jinchuriki of Ichibi is Gaara, who ultimately managed to establish friendly relations with it and use its power to the fullest.

After the Fourth Shinobi World War, Ichibi was freed and gained freedom, obtaining the ability to exist independently without a carrier. Despite its hot-tempered and aggressive behavior in the past, over time it became more restrained and even developed a sense of humor.
